Acura Service Bulletins

Acura has agreed to a warranty extension over transmission troubles. In T.S.B. 02-027 issued on Jan. 5, the company notes that 1999-2002 Acura 3.2TLs, 2001-2 3.2CLs, some 2003 Acura TLs with the Type S trim package and some 2003 3.2CL models appear to have higher than normal defects in workmanship or materials. The warranty has been extended to 93 months, or 109,000 miles, from 72 months, or 70,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Some 2005 Acura RL drivers may find it is hard to see where they have traveled. In T.S.B. 07-001 issued on Jan. 13, Acura notes some outside mirrors with the automatic tilt-down feature may not return to the driving position when the vehicle is shifted out of reverse. Reprogramming the control software should clear things up. Honda said all repairs covered in T.S.B.’s might be eligible for good-will assistance if the warranty has expired.
