News - Honda axes FR-V
The Honda FR-V/Edix is about to be axed by Honda, to disappear by fall 2009. The production of the low-volume six-seat MPV is about to end and the last car will be produed some time at the end of this month. As a result, UK dealers are now slashing prices to shift stocks of a model that never sold well in the UK. The problem why the FR-V never sold well is because of a general shift away from MPVs towards new compact crossovers that are suddenly becoming popular worldwide. Only 13500 people have bought a Honda FR-V in the UK since it arrived 5 years ago. The official MSRP of the FR-V base 1.8L SE model is listed at £16,700 but if you're looking for one of these or want a great dealbreaker, you're sure to get the offer you want.
