Honda has confirmed that the FCX fuel-cell vehicle will be in fact destined for production and a car based on the CR-Z will make the production line. The FCX production model will be unveiled at the LA Auto Show in November with sales starting next year. In 2009, there will be TWO hybrids, a CR-Z hybrid AND a "global hybrid" family car.
In other news...
Honda took aim at the Chevy Volt yesterday, saying that plug-in hybrid vehicles don't do enough for the environment so that Honda would not look into such a technology. Fukui said Honda is working on high-performing lithium batteries, and if they succeed a pure battery-powered electric vehicle is in its future.
