Honda's planned 2009 small car hybrid and planned future CR-X successor will be put together. A hybrid system will be put into the future CR-X and instead will debut much later in 2011. Rumours say the styling will emulate the original CR-X. We may see a concept version of this "married" CR-X hybrid at the Tokyo Auto Show in Japan this October.
In other news, Honda's future V6 diesel will apparently be put in the redesigned 2010 Odyssey first, then the Pilot and Ridgeline. The next-generation Accord will have feature a 2.2 litre i-CTDi Tier 2 Bin 5 4-cylinder diesel with an ammonia-filled catalytic converter to reduce NOx emissions but no word on the V6 diesel for Accord. The V6 engine is believed to be 3.5 litres and is expected to be 30% more fuel efficent compared to equivalent gas models.
