The Beat was a cute little convertible that was only sold in Japan. It was a mid-engine layout car and was imported to many continents. The Beat was a Kei car (K-car) is short for Kei Jidosha, which is Japanese for "light vehicle". By regulation they must be less than 3.4 metres long and 1.48 metres wide (smaller than a Mini), have an engine less than 660cc with no more than 64 horsepower. The Beat only had a 3-cylinder engine and had a factory 49 mpg. For standard features it's got things like a 5-speed manual, driver's side airbag, radio and air conditioning. However the decease of the car came in 1996 but there are still lots of there out there and exporting them wouldn't be a bad idea. |
