Honda #1 in Loyalty

Honda and Ford have tied for first place in a JD Power and Associates study on Car Loyalty.

This study measures the amount of people who will stick with the same brand that they have previously bought, for their next cars. It was based on responses from 123,601 new vehicle buyers and lessees and was conducted between February and May and August and October. Both Ford and Honda measured 62%.

Honda's Accord, CR-V and Pilot scored highest of the automaker in the survey.

Close but no cigar came Hyundai, Lexus, Toyota and Kia with a mere maximum of 5-7 points separating them from 62%.

In recent years, the reasons buyers cited in explaining why they chose a specific vehicle was often based on the car's safety, residual value and fuel economy, however these days, more and more people have specified as well as in the survey that they wanted cars that were fun to drive as well.
