Honda Accord EX-L NAVI Review
"At my Monday-Friday workplace, a few people own Honda Accords. So, I decided to go around and ask them why they bought this specific sedan when so many people have them. One individual bought it because they wanted reliability, another bought it because the dealership gave them “the best deal EVER,” and the last comment, but my favourite was because they wanted a car that blended in and attracted little to no attention. Hmmm... I guess I've always been somewhat of a pink sheep, so blending in really isn't what I want out of life or out of a car. "

Acura TL SH-AWD Review
" For the 2010 model year, Acura has a major trick up its sleeve that makes the TL SH-AWD one very appealing vehicle (well, to me at least!) Yes, it looks good and is well endowed, but it's more than that. Six speeds more than that. "

NEWS SPECIAL: Autocar roadtests the Honda CR-Z
"The CR-Z generates more power and torque than the Insight hatch. Which it should, given that it has a 112bhp 1.5-litre engine to the Insight’s 87bhp 1.3 litre, and its electric motor, redesigned to cope with the larger powertrain’s combined 128lb ft of torque, produces 14bhp for a total power output of 122bhp.
This is not a high-performance coupĂ©, although it’s brisk enough to be fun, especially if you engage the Sport button. This not only changes the characteristics of the hybrid drive by serving more torque from the electric motor, but also sharpens the throttle and increases steering effort.
On price and looks alone, this car has strong appeal. Never mind that it looks a little less dramatic than the concept; it’s still a head-turner. It’s also an intriguing drive, because you can feel the effects of the electrical assistance, and because those eye-catching instruments that tutor you in harvesting kinetic energy are fun to use."
AutoCar has given its first review on the Honda CR-Z 1.5 GT in Europe, find out about the impressive and the not-so-impressive results right here at http://www.autocar.co.uk/CarReviews/RoadTestsOnTheRoad/Honda-CR-Z-1.5-i-VTEC-GT/248790/

Honda Element Test Drive
"Is the Element an endangered species? Likely not, judging by an interview published in December 2009 in Automotive News, a Detroit weekly periodical. One of the executives of Honda’s American subsidiary stated that the automaker was going to redesign the vehicle “in the near future.” He didn’t specify, however, if it would keep the name and feature a similar profile."

Honda CR-Z Video
See the video of the new Honda CR-Z, which will be used to market the hybrid sports coupe in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, before it hits your small screen. The Honda CR-Z comes to South Africa later this year.
The production house tasked with the video was briefed to create a film capturing the “dynamic, aesthetic and environmental qualities” of the new car.
According to its media statement, the film’s narrative “describes an epic journey that begins at dawn and continues through the night, during which the viewer’s perception of reality is challenged by a fantastic mix of smoke, mirrors and laser light.” Smoke and mirrors, hey?
Well, we can’t wait to look beyond those when the CR-Z arrives in South Africa later this year. The car, which Honda calls its “most exciting hybrid yet” is powered by a 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine coupled with Honda’s IMA hybrid system. It is claimed the CR-Z will consume around 4.2 l/100 km of fuel and produce 117 g/km of CO2 emissions.
Honda also promises a responsive chassis and great handling characteristics, but, to whet your appetite, have a look at the video.

The End of the Civic Type-R
Now as we reported on the rumored demise of the Civic Type-R hatch, Honda has announced it will phase out the Civic Type-R sedan making 220bhp within the next week and a half as it begins to wind down production of the 4-door sedan model. Honda blamed the 4-door Type R's demise on a slow and sluggish market. While production of the 3-door Type-R hatch is still going strong, one wonders exactly what this means to the rest of the Type-R lineup.

The End of the Civic Type-R?
Could this be the last Honda Civic Type-R? A Japanese magazine certainly thinks so. Japanese press site 47News claims that Honda will announce the discontinuation of the Civic Type-R models this Monday, April 19th. According to the report, Honda is discontinuing the Civic Type-R because the market for these little pocket racers is sluggish and Honda is not making a profit off of these vehicles. A wild rumor sure, but could it happen?
What do you think about this speculation? A 180 for Honda being a sporty manufacturer? Comment below!

Recall : 2010 Acura ZDX
FROM TORONTO - Honda Canada Inc. is recalling several hundred 2010 Acura ZDX vehicles to inspect for possible problems with passenger-side airbags. No incidents have been reported. But Honda says a quality check has disclosed that some of the vehicles do not have the necessary laser-cut scoring on the underside of the dashboard surface material. Without proper scoring, the passenger-side frontal airbag will not deploy properly.
Owners of 605 vehicles in Canada will be informed by mail later this month of the recall and asked to have their vehicles inspected.
Honda says any dashboards found to be without the proper scoring will be replaced.
FROM WASHINGTON - Honda is recalling 1850 Acura ZDX crossovers due to a potential issue that could lead to improper deployment of the front passenger-side airbag. The issue was discovered during manufacturing quality checks and found that some ZDXs did not have necessary laser-cut scoring on the dashboard’s underside. The scoring is needed to ensure clean airbag deployment and only a proper inspection can determine whether the dashboard will need to be replaced. ZDX owners will be notified by mail later this month.
For now, owners may visit owners.acura.com/recalls or call Acura Client Services at 800-382-2238 for more information.
