Anyone for a resurrection of the Acura/Honda NSX?

Honda is reportedly considering the rebirth of the famous NSX sports coupe as a hybrid based on a modified Accord platform. Further, it is expected to be powered either by a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder or a 3.5-liter V-6. If the coupe is voted in favor of production it can be expected to hit the roads in 2014.
According to Motortrend’s sources, a patent application specifies a “V6 powertrain developing upwards of 400 horsepower.” that suggests a definite inclination to the V6 engine.
Moreover, the technology that will be used to power the new sports coupe “can be driven with either a clutch and an engine only, the engine and motor only, or the motor only,” Also, a manual transmission option is expected to be offered.
In addition, the sports coupe is expected to make use of Honda’s SH-AWD system. Meanwhile, it will apply NSX concept technology by fitting the rear-drive-based SH-AWD setup that enabled the test mule to lap the Nürburgring in 7 minutes, 37 seconds two years ago.
Also, R&D costs will come down significantly if the front-wheel-drive Accord platform is used as a base for this car. Engineers will likely swap the front and rear around to create a rear midship AWD package.
So what do you think of these latest rumors? Is it worth it for an NSX to be produced on a reversed Accord platform?
