More Hondas for 2007

Element

The SC prototype that was shown at the New York Auto Show is showing us the Mid Model Change for 2007 Element. It is likely the Element will get the 10 hp upgrade as in the Accord. The Element will also receive a new 5-speed automatic and there are new colors plus a new trim level called the SC which is like the Si to the Civic.

Odyssey

There are some shuffling of colours but Honda usually refreshs vehicles in its fourth year. We've learned that for 2007 the Odyssey's transmission will be upgraded from its current 3-shaft design to a beefier 4-shaft design. The 4-shaft design is based upon the Ridgeline's mission and should once and for all put to rest any concerns about Honda's V6 automatic transmissions.

Ridgeline

The 2007 Ridgeline will begin arriving at dealers in June. A new RTX model will be available that is based on the current RT. This new trim level will add a standard tow package, alloy wheels, accessory grille, and painted door handles.

Honda for 2007

Accord

I don't think there will be much change for the Accord in 2007 as it just had a refresh and is on its way for a full redesign in 2008.

Civic

The Civic will likely have some interior changes and some shuffling of the exterior colours and interior trim. The big news is the Si trim is now available as a sedan. Finally!

CR-V

The next CR-V will look close to this. It appears that the CR-V will not have a rear hanging spare tire, third row seat and a V6. It also appears that the CR-V will not longer target the RAV4, it will target the Tuscon and the Sportage from Hyundai and Kia.

More on the Element and the trucks tomorrow....

Honda Accord Hatchback (1999-2004 version)

This was one of Honda's least known vehicles outside Europe of course because it was sold in Europe. The Honda Accord Hatchback was only something to give to Europeans for a taste of a sedan with a larger rear window and a rear wiper. That's pretty much it for this car. Honda didn't revive a hatchback for the current model because it was too pricey.
